Its purpose is to bring together communities, institutions, and development partners around practical work that advances food security, skills development, enterprise opportunity, and resilient local systems.
Grounded in Soweto and connected to a wider network of partners, the Tutu Home will serve as a place for learning, collaboration, and locally led action.
A Milestone in Development
In May 2026, faith leaders, representatives of Rotary International, local and provincial public officials, humanitarian partners, and international guests gathered at the Tutu Home to mark the next phase of The Desmond Tutu Programme.
