FreshMinistries' front door in Jacksonville: youth programs, job training, and counseling under one roof, with a working greenhouse out back.
The Weaver Center started with a plain ambition: stronger Jacksonville neighborhoods. It has been a sanctuary ever since, the place a young person comes to find a mentor, a tutor, and a way forward.
The building keeps filling up. LifePoint Career Institute moved here in January 2015. The aquaponics facility opened out back in 2017. Every December the center throws a community Christmas celebration and sends kids home with toys.
